We believe in a world where play is a universal right, regardless of age, ability or circumstance. Our mission is to foster inclusive environments that empower every individual to thrive, ensuring that community engagement and equality are accessible to all.
Get to know us
The Play Space Inc is a family-founded and operated, registered not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting equality, inclusion and community connection. Supported by a team of passionate local volunteers who understand and care about the community we serve, we create initiatives, programs and opportunities that bring people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds together. Our work is built on the belief that everyone deserves to feel valued, supported and included.
Delilah is the President of The Play Space and Director of The Sanctuary, two initiatives built from her deep passion for equality, inclusion, and creating meaningful community connections.

Through her work, she advocates for spaces where people of all abilities and backgrounds feel valued, supported, and empowered.
Â
Delilah is also a passionate animal lover who believes in the unique ability animals have to bring people together, encourage connection, and create a sense of belonging.
Tom is the Vice President of The Play Space and Director of Off The Bench, an initiative dedicated to creating inclusive sporting opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.

With a lifelong passion for sport, Tom has spent many years both playing and coaching basketball, developing a strong belief in the power of sport to build confidence, connection, and community.

He is committed to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate, feel included, and experience the positive impact that sport can have on people’s lives.
Community Services
Our Community Services are a judgement free zone which is designed to bring people together and strengthen community connections. Through inclusive public events, community visits and services such as having a Justice of the Peace available, we aim to make everyday support and opportunities more accessible to everyone.Â
Our Initiatives
The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary provides a safe and caring home for surrendered animals while supporting their wellbeing and, where possible, helping them find loving forever homes. Through animal experiences and community activities, The Sanctuary also creates opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to connect with, learn about and appreciate animals.
Off The Bench
Off The Bench works to create a more inclusive sporting community where everyone belongs. Through its Re-Play Program, we collect and redistribute donated sporting equipment, shoes, uniforms and clothing to individuals and families who may otherwise face barriers to participating in sport, helping make active participation more accessible to all.
